REBUILDING TACLOBAN
CAMPAIGN INITIATED TO HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR THE PHILIPINNES IN THE WAKE OF TYPHOON HAIYAN.
THE WORK
On occassion something comes along that's so devistating it can't be ignored. I work with so many talented people every day, it only seemed right to do our part for the cause. It took just a small dedicated team to pull together and react to the devistation caused by Typhoon Haiyan with a simple donation website, pixelbypixel.org.uk. For each pound donated through the site a pixel in a satellite view of Tacloban would change, rebuilding the image back to its former glory.
THE SITE
The website allowed visitors to donate via Just Giving for the Disasters Emergency Committe Typhoon appeal. Each pound donated would grant them pixels of the renewed image which they could tag with their name, amount donated and message of hope for the Philipinnes.
